WATCH: Babar Azam gives befitting reply to ‘Do you think you should give up Test captaincy’ question
Pakistan and New Zealand will again lock horns with each other for a three-match ODI series starting January 9 at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. However, this will be the first ODI for Pakistan since the tour of Netherlands in August 2022. Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam gave a scathing reply to a reporter about his captaincy as he faced criticism for his role as captain.

However, a reporter questioned Babar Azam about giving up the captaincy in the Test format of the game before the first ODI. The Pakistani captain had a straight answer which was valid, but he also appeared irritated by the question.

We haven’t won a Test in 8 attempts at home, do you think you should give up Test captaincy to make your goal of becoming one of the greatest batsmen of the game easier?” the reporter asked.
“We are playing white-ball cricket now, Tests are over. If you have any query on limited overs series, you ask that,” Babar Azam replied straight away.
