Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has partnered with Garuda Aerospace to launch a surveillance drone named Dhoni. According to The Economic Times report, it is a battery-powered quadcopter surveillance drone and will be used mostly in the agriculture sector. The veteran cricketer unveiled the camera drone at The Global Drone Expo in Chennai in 2022 and it has now been launched.
At the launch event, MS Dhoni revealed that he got interested in drones during the COVID-19 lockdown and also learned how they can play an important role in the agriculture sector for everyone. Meanwhile, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, said the new drone could help in various sectors as well. With this product, he wants to put India on the global map as a hub for quality drones.

Jayaprakash said, “Our Droni drone is indigenous and can be used for various surveillance purposes, and by ensuring that the product is made in India, we hope to become self-sufficient not only for the demand for drones but also to make India Also install on the global map. MS Dhoni’s mission to reform the agriculture sector is not a new one. The Ranchi-born cricketer was seen doing farming during the lockdown and recently partnering with Garuda, the cricketer made a short film ‘Kheton Ke Kaptan’ with an aim to encourage youth and farmers to do farming well. Issued.
The film was conceptualized by Garuda and jointly produced by Dhoni Entertainment. This will serve the purpose of teaching farmers how to use drones and teach them how Garuda drones can help farmers in spraying, monitoring and mapping pesticides while saving water and time.
