Pakistan fast bowler, Haris Rauf has claimed that Indian legend, Virat Kohli may fail to replicate the infamous shot he played during the T20 World Cup 2022, in which the pacer was hit back-to-back during India’s clash with Pakistan. Had to hit back sixes. The arch-rivals met at the iconic MCG on October 23 and Pakistan could only manage 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. India were in all kinds of trouble as they had lost four wickets for just 31 runs.
Kohli then went back years as he produced one of the finest innings in the competition to seal victory for the Indian team with four wickets to spare. The star batsman played a flamboyant knock of 82 off 53 balls and his innings included six fours and four sixes.
A turning point of the game was when Virat Kohli hit Rauf for back-to-back maximum sixes and the first shot became the talk of the town as he pulled off an incredible shot.
Haris Rauf was asked about the six by a fan during the popular Pakistani show ‘Hasna Mana Hai’. As quoted by NDTV, the Pakistan pacer said that it hurt him personally that the shot went for a six.
The Pakistan pacer said that Kohli might once again fail to do so as he feels such shots are quite rare. The fast bowler also said that the Indian star’s timing was perfect.
Explaining the same, Haris Rauf said, “Of course, it hurt when the six hit. I didn’t say anything but it hurt me personally. I felt something wrong happened. Anyone who knows cricket knows the kind of player he is. He has played that shot now; I don’t think he’ll be able to do it again. Such shots are quite rare, you can’t hit them over and over again. His timing was perfect and the six hit.
