Australia is to tour India for a four-match Test series. The tour will be crucial for both the sides as they look to seal their places in the final of the World Test Championship 2021-23. The Australian team under the leadership of Pat Cummins has been sensational both at home and away. The Australian team has won a couple of Test matches in the subcontinent last year, won a series in Pakistan and played out a draw against Sri Lanka.
Ahead of the tour of India, legendary wicketkeeper Ian Healy has said that Australia have a good chance of winning if India produce proper wickets unlike the 2017 tour.
During a recent chat on the Cenk Breakfast Show, Ian Healy said, “If they get flat wickets, which India used to get out on, good flat batting wickets and the bowlers are going to have to work really hard, I think.” that we can do that.”
Australia last toured India in 2017 for a 4-match Test series and started with a win in Pune that stunned the Indian cricket community. However, Virat Kohli and his men played a spirited series and won by a margin of 2-1.
The bottom team hasn’t had a good record against India in the recent past and Pat Cummins’ side would look to change that. The team will be tested in the spin conditions of the subcontinent, as they faced in Sri Lanka.
Talking about the turning track, Ian Healy said, “If they produce unfair wickets, as they did in the last half of the series (we won’t win), then two wickets were terrible, unfair, spinners on the first day.” Were bouncing over your head. They have a good team but I am not scared of their spinners as long as they don’t give unfair wickets.
