Shubman Gill has been doing well as an opener in India’s ODI team with consistent big innings. He scored a double century in the first ODI against New Zealand and is likely to be India’s first-choice opener alongside Rohit in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
With Virat Kohli at number three followed by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul doing well in the middle order, it will be difficult for Kishan to get a regular spot in the middle order. Despite his double century in Bangladesh, he has not been consistent enough to grab a spot for the World Cup.
