Justin Langer said Australia’s tour of India will be toughest for spectators
Former Australia head coach Justin Langer has said that India is the toughest country to play Test cricket in but Australia have managed to field a well-balanced side and they will look to create history this time under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Can beat Australia, who will play a 4-match Test series in India in February and March, have not won a Test series on Indian soil since 2004. The last Australian captain to win a Test series in India was Adam Gilchrist.
Earlier, Bill Lawrie achieved this feat in 1969. Asked if he regrets not being a part of the touring party, Justin Langer said he has moved on but is still looking forward to seeing Australia win in India. The 52-year-old was a member of Australia’s series win in 2004 and feels the same about the current team.

During a recent chat with The Age, Justin Langer said, “It doesn’t hurt, I’ve moved on. I won’t be there but I’m looking forward to seeing the boys win there. It would be great if they Can do it. Can’t wait to see it. It’s been the toughest tour. I look back in 2004 when Australia won for the first time in 35 years, same feeling about it.

Langer also said that Australia have managed to field a very balanced team with plenty of experience in the top four as well as a dynamic middle-order batsman in Travis Head and a potent pace attack.
Elaborating on this, Justin Langer said, “It was a very balanced and confident team. The current team is winning and I think they have a good chance to beat India. That was my Mount Everest tour.” I always said I want to be able to do it again because it was very difficult to do. Australia have two senior professionals at the top. They’ve got No.3 and No.4, average 60 and they’re best mates.

He further added, “They are hungry and they play spin well. Travis Head is batting at a different level. He is inspired by that top four. Hopefully Cameron Green will come back, that gives a really good balance.” You have the best fast bowling attack in the world and you have the best spinner in the world. My gosh, they have an incredibly well balanced team.
