MSK Prasad reveals his raw emotions after Rishabh Pant’s car accident – SBB Times

Former India chief selector MSK Prasad revealed his raw emotions following the tragic car accident of veteran cricketer Rishabh Pant, who is recovering after three successful surgeries in Mumbai. Indian wicket-keeper batsman Pant miraculously survived a horrific car accident in December last year. Pant, who is the captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise, will miss the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injuries sustained in a road accident.

One of the most talented cricketers in world cricket, Rishabh Pant suffered multiple injuries when his Mercedes crashed on the NH-58 highway on December 30. Sharing his thoughts about the injured cricketer amid such difficult times, former national selector Prasad sympathized with Pant and issued an emotional statement.

Speaking to Rediff.com, MSK Prasad said, “I feel very sorry for Rishabh Pant, it feels like something has happened to my own son. It feels painful because we have made it from under-19 to international level.” But have seen his transition. We have seen him grow before our eyes and to see that terrible accident is painful not only for him and his family but also for all those who have supported him and who have been with him .

The Indian cricketer was earlier admitted to a hospital in Dehradun where he underwent three surgeries before coming to Mumbai for further treatment. Rishabh Pant was later airlifted from Dehradun.

On Monday, Pant issued his first statement after the gruesome accident. He tweeted, ‘From the bottom of my heart I want to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and physios also for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field.

Rishabh Pant also thanked the two youths (Rajat and Nishu) who saved him after the tragic car accident near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. “I would also like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all my fans, teammates, doctors and physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field,” said Pant. Last played in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh in December.
