Nine people were arrested for selling black tickets ahead of the second ODI of the three-match series against New Zealand at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. As per the latest reports, the City Police has made nine arrests in the last few days. Indian cricket fans often travel hundreds of miles to catch a glimpse of their favorite cricketers and go to extra lengths to experience a live match.
Meanwhile, this first international match is being played between India and New Zealand at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

According to a report in the Indian Express, the police officials arrested people selling tickets at black markets in Civil Lines, Pachpedi and Thanaganj areas and managed to seize over 60 tickets. Police officials revealed that the accused were selling Rs 500 tickets for Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 tickets were being sold for Rs 5000 on Thursday and Friday.
After a poor show in the first ODI, the Indian bowlers came back with impressive spells in the second match. The Indian skipper, Captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first after stumbling over his decision during the toss. Both teams remained unchanged from the first high-scoring ODI but it is proving to be a bowler’s game in Raipur.

Mohammed Shami got the Indian team off to a brisk start by dismissing Finn Allen for a duck in the first over of the innings and then the fast bowlers went on a rampage. New Zealand batsmen are struggling for partnerships with just 15 runs in 11 overs on the scoreboard. Shami made the most noise with two wickets each with Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur taking one wicket each.
India currently lead the three-match series 1-0 after a 12-run win in the first ODI in Hyderabad and they are on the verge of taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
