PSL 2024: Usama Mir created history in Pakistan Super League by becoming the first spin bowler to take 6 wickets

New Delhi.Usama Mir created history in the Pakistan Super League. He became the first spinner to take six wickets in the history of the PSL. Pakistan’s leg spinner, Usama Mir, took 6 wickets for 40 runs in 4 overs. Usama did this feat against the Lahore Qalandars.

Batting first, the Multan Sultans made the best score of this season. Multan put 214 runs on the board at the loss of four wickets. The team had rested key foreign players, including Dawid Malan, Chris Jordan, and David Willey, in this match. Chasing the target, Lahore Qalandars were all out for 154 runs in 17 overs. Qalandars had to face defeat by 60 runs.

Showed the way to the pavilion to these six batsmen
Usama Mir made an important contribution in bowling out Lahore Qalandars for 154. Mir bowled lethally and sent six Qalandars batsmen to the pavilion. Mir took the wickets of Rassie van der Dussen, Shaheen Afridi, George Linde, Jahandad Khan, Salman Faiyaz, and Zaman Khan. He has become the first spinner in the PSL to achieve the feat of taking 6 wickets.

Usman Khan played a brilliant innings
Talking about the match, Usman Khan, representing the UAE, played a brilliant inning of 96 runs in just 55 balls. After his aggressive batting, Iftikhar Ahmed scored an unbeaten 40 runs on 18 balls and took the team’s score beyond 200. Usman Khan’s partnership with Reeza Hendricks (40) and Tayyab Tahir (21) proved vital, contributing to the success.
