Rishabh Pant has special praise for the ‘two heroes’ who saved him during the car accident

India’s wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant has thanked two youths who saved him after a horrific car accident while traveling from New Delhi to Roorkee on December 30, 2022. Calling him a ‘hero’, Pant shared special praise and revealed that he will always be indebted to him for saving him and is currently on the road to recovery after multiple surgeries.

Sharing a picture of the two youngsters, Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, on micro-blogging site, Twitter, Rishabh Pant thanked them and said that he will always be grateful to them.

In his tweet, Rishabh Pant wrote, ‘I may not have been able to thank everyone personally, but I must acknowledge these two heroes who helped me during my accident and made sure I reached the hospital safely. Let’s reach Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, thank you. I will always be grateful and indebted,” the 25-year-old’s post read.

The left-handed star batsman also posted an update on his health, stating that his road to recovery has begun and thanked all his fans, well-wishers, BCCI and its secretary Jay Shah for all the support.

In another tweet, Rishabh Pant wrote: “I am humbled and grateful for all the support and wishes. I am happy to inform you that my surgery was successful. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you @BCCI, @JayShah & Govt officials for their incredible support.

He further added, “From the bottom of my heart, I would also like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to seeing you all on the field. # Grateful #Blessed,” Pant added in another tweet.
