India have dropped Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from their T20 squad for the upcoming home series against New Zealand. KL Rahul is also not in the squad, and while the BCCI chalked up his absence – and that of Akshar Patel – from both the ODI and T20I stages of the series to family commitments, it did not give any specific reason for Rohit, India’s regular all-rounder. Draft captain, and Kohli lost the series.
