Former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina revealed that MS Dhoni knows that fans refer to DRS as the Dhoni Review System, with the Indian legend often deciding to review at the last moment. Dhoni was known for taking pin-point DRS calls apart from his batting and wicket-keeping abilities. Dhoni was apprehensive about the Decision Review System (DRS) for a long time, so Team India decided not to use it in the bilateral series.
With time, MS Dhoni became a fan of the technique and soon became arguably the best DRS practitioner. His level of accuracy was so high that fans often dubbed it the Dhoni Review System, and there were many occasions throughout his international career when the former India captain proved him right.

As a wicket-keeper, MS Dhoni had the best view of the action which definitely helped him in taking the right decisions. However, the fact that not every wicketkeeper is proficient with DRS only adds to Dhoni’s uniqueness.
Recently during an interaction with Viacom18 Sports, Suresh Raina said, “MS Dhoni knows that fans call DRS as Dhoni Review System. Even for me it has always been the Dhoni review system. Later, I discovered the real word.”
He further added, “Dhoni always takes the review at the last second because the bowler always thinks he is out but it is Dhoni who has a clear view of all the three stumps from behind the stumps and can make better decisions. “
MS Dhoni’s former teammate Pragyan Ojha also joked that he thought umpires used to check whether MS Dhoni appealed for dismissal or not.
