Veda Krishnamurthy marries Arjun Hoysala on her late mother’s birthday – SBB Times


India’s sportsperson Veda Krishnamurthy got married to her fiance Arjun Hoysala at a private court in Bengaluru. Ved, however, chose to register their marriage on the birth anniversary of his late mother, whom he lost in April 2021 due to the global pandemic COVID-19. Krishnamurthy, who is a member of the Karnataka women’s cricket team, has also played 48 ODIs and 76 T20 matches for the Indian team.

She was a part of the Indian team in the ODI World Cup in 2017 and the T20 World Cup in 2020. Arjun Hoysala is a left-handed batsman, who has also played for Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy. He also featured for various franchises in the Karnataka Premier League.

Veda shared pictures of her special day on Instagram, where she can be seen signing the documents with Arjun Hoysala at the registrar’s office. “Mr and Mrs!!! This is for you Amma, your birthday will always be special akka #justmarried 12.01.23 #newlife #wedding,” said Ved’s post.

However, Veda Krishnamurthy had earlier revealed the date of her wedding that she has chosen as well as former Indian player and women’s team coach WV Raman on Wednesday on Sportstar. Talking about the wedding date, Ved said that he chose this date to pay tribute to his late mother as well. She wanted to immortalize this date as well so that anniversaries could always be celebrated on this special date as well.

“I want to register my marriage on 12th January which is my mother’s birthday. I want that day to be special and always be attached to me. It falls in the month when you should not exchange garlands or auspicious Or we would have had a proper wedding on this date. But going forward, when we celebrate the anniversary, it will be on this day,” concluded Veda Krishnamurthy.
